  IMPORTANT NOTES

 The text of the upcoming experiment has to be studied before coming to class. The text is available online at https://courses.physics.miami.edu/classes/108/2022fall with login credential your CaneLink ID#;
  1. For each experiment there is a two-problem online pre-lab test based on the text. Its aim is to stimulate the independent study. The aggregated equal pre-lab test credits amount to 15% of the final grade. Deadline for the responses (server-enforced) is one hour before the lab start;
  2. There will be at least four quizzes during the semester over material of passed labs. They will count another 15% of the final grade;
  3. Showing up on the first two class sessions is of high importance, so much so that missing them leads to automatic drop of the course;
  4. One missed lab out of ten will decrease your lab report portion of the final grade by 10% automatically. Two missed labs will result in a failing grade. Legitimate emergency cases should arrange for make up immediately (no reading days for labs) by contacting both lab class instructors (regular and make up), and the labs office at ugradlabs@physics.miami.edu .
